Peace Talks: SG receives peace delegation led by NMSP Vice Chairman

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a peace delegation led by Vice Chairman of the New Mon State Party (NMSP) Nai Aung Min at Bayint Naung villa in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the peace talks, the Senior General clarified emphasis to be placed on peace talks for the participation of all ethnic nationalities in the national cause, educational promotion in the entire nation including ethnic areas as well-versed human resources are essential for implementing the democratic system, practicing multi-party democratic system in conformity with the people’s desire, building a union system based on democracy and federalism.

Later, NMSP Vice Chairman and party discussed practicing multi-party democratic system in accord with the people’s desire, building a democratic and federal based Union system, and their views on education enhancement in the entire nation.

They also exchanged views on peace processes and development of the Union. After the meeting, the Senior General presented commemorative gifts to the Vice Chairman of NMSP and delegates.

The delegation led by the NMSP Vice Chairman will continue peace talks with Peace Talks Team and the National Sol­idarity and Peace Negotiation Committee formed with SAC members by the State Administration Council.
