Passing-Out parade: SSPC VC, Deputy C-in-CDS delivered graduation speech

The Passing-Out parade for the Graduation of Batch (10) of the Bachelor of Nursing and Medical Technology (Female) training at the Defence Services Nursing and Paramedical University was held at the university's parade ground in Yangon on Monday.

The Vice-Chairman of the State Security Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win attended and delivered a speech on behalf of SSPC Chairman, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Senior General Thado Maha Thray Sithu, Thado Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.

First, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, received the salute from the graduating companies and then inspected the color party and the graduating companies. Subsequently, the graduating companies saluted the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services in slow and fast march.

Following that, Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, presented best awards to the top trainee of Batch (10) of the Bachelor of Nursing and Medical Technology (Female) training, the Best Cadet Award to cadet Khaing Zapal Myo , Excellent Award in training to  cadet Yi Yi Myint and the Excellent Award in Studies, to cadet Thin Thin Thiri. Subsequently, Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win, on behalf of SSPC Chairman, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Senior General Thado Maha Thray Sithu, Thado Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, delivered a speech.

He elaborated on several matters: the university's consistent training and production of skilled nurses, pharmacists, and medical technicians with both physical and moral strength for the national armed forces, in line with its objective of "producing capable nurses, pharmacists, and medical technicians for the national armed forces that protect our three main courses"; the historical fact that the armed forces' medical service was conceived alongside the independence struggle, and that nursing officers and soldiers performed exceptionally well in battlefield medical protection, earning not only the Florence Nightingale Medal but also the Commander-in-Chief's Certificate of Honour during that period; the necessity for them to continuously strive to become capable military nurses, skilled pharmacists, and medical technicians for the national armed forces that protect our three main duties; the need to respect and value the lives of good nursing corps members, to perform duties excellently in their respective posts, and to strive to be individuals who enhance their own honor, the honor of their unit, the honor of the armed forces, and the honor of the state through their good efforts.

After the passing-out parade, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and his entourage met with the award-winning cadets at the university's headquarters guest hall and delivered words of honor. In the evening, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and his entourage attended and presided over the graduation honor dinner ceremony for Batch (10) of the Bachelor of Nursing and Medical Technology (Female) Training.

They dined together at the honor dinner with the graduating nurses and other dinner attendees. After dinner, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and his entourage watched and encouraged the honor performance by the Defence Services Nursing and Paramedical University Honor Band and presented them with cash awards.

Afterwards, SSPC Vice-Chairman, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, and his entourage, together with the graduating nurses, watched and encouraged the honor entertainment performances presented by the Myawady Music Troupe under the direction of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare at the auditorium, it’s learnt.
