Election in Shan State: Chief Minister encourages voting process

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung visited polling stations in Kalaw Township to observe and encourage voters taking part in the Phase II of multi-party democracy general election.

Voting began at 6:00 a.m. in Kalaw, Aungban, and Heho towns, where voters peacefully and freely cast their ballots after presenting national ID cards and voter registration slips. The Chief Minister, accompanied by officials, inspected several polling stations across the township and observed the orderly voting process.

Similarly, voters in other townships across Shan State participating in Phase II of the election also cast their votes freely, peacefully, and in an orderly manner at designated polling stations.
