


The Ministry of Immigration and Population is implementing the Pan Khin Project for the citizens to have the identity card for casting votes in the upcoming elections.
Union Minister U Khin Yi on Tuesday instructed the officials from the Regions and States to meet the target of the project, at a ceremony held in Nay Pyi Taw. He said the project period is 18 months and it’s been over 10 months of implementing the tasks.
During this period, Bago, Ayeyawady, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Union Territory (Nay Pyi Taw) have completed the tasks with exceeding the targets. He expressed his appreciations for the efforts of the departmental personnel and related organizations.
He pointed out that starting 6:00 am on April 1st, there will be inspection on the National Registration Cards during the travelling, accommodating and other related works that needs the NRC cards. He stressed not to give burden to the people without any hindrances for the public commuting. The Union Minister urged officials to make reports on any obstacles and the needs of the tasks in timely manner so as to achieve the target of the tasks.
