Pan Khin Project: Meeting On Importance Of National Registration Card Issuance

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi on Thursday afternoon presided over a meeting to successfully implement the Pankhin Project for issuance of National Registration Card (NRC) and household lists.

During the Meeting at the Ministry, the Union Minister stressed the importance of holding the NRC for election and implementing the Project by overcoming the challenges and difficulties.  The meeting continued with discussions on plans and requirements for the Project as well as on e-ID system.

It’s learnt that under the 18-month Pan Khin Project from the 3rd of May 2021 to the 3rd of November 2022, over 3.4 million people aged 16 and above are set to hold the National Registration Card (NRC). Currently, the Project has been fully implemented in Bago and Ayeyawaddy regions and in Nay Pyi Taw Council area.
