





Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U KoKo together with officials looked into drawing of paintings at the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon) in Dagon Myothit (South), the State High School of Fine Arts (Yangon) and the Myanmar Arts Center by the Myanmar Paintings and Sculpture Association, that will be kept at the repositories in the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Image that is being built in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
Officials from relevant university, school and show room and artists conducted them around there and explained about progress of works. The Union Minister discussed about the methods of painting and stressed the needs on timely completion of paintings.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture is taking measures for placing 96 oil paintings depicting the Buddha life in line with Myanmar ancient tradition and custom at the 24 repositories in the compound of Maravijaya Buddha Image.
Out of 96, 32 oil paintings have been completed 100 percent for the 1st time. For the 2nd time, 32 paintings are being drawn at the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon), the State High School of Fine Arts (Yangon) and the Myanmar Arts Center.
