Pagoda Festival: Mandalay Region CM Offered Offertories To The Sangha

The Buddha Pujaniya festival of Thitsa Adihtan Aung HsuTaungPyae Pagoda and offering alms-bowl and offertories to the Sangha was held in aHneikTaw ward, AungMyayThaZan Township, Mandalay  in the morning on January 18 and attended by the Mandalay Region Chief Minister Wunna Kyaw Htin U Maung Ko and wife AggaMahaThiriThuddhammaTheingi Daw Shwe-U, region ministers and invited guests.

First, the Buddha Pujaniya festival of Thitsa Adihtan Aung HsuTaungPyae Pagoda was held in line with the agenda. Then, 108 members of Sangha led by the Chairman of Mandalay Region SanghaNayaka Committee AggaMaha Pandita Baddanta Viccitabhivamsa were offered alms-bowl and offertories by Chief Minister and wife, region ministers and well wishers.

Next, the Chief Minister and wife paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of Indrirama Shwegu monastery and offered offertories and cash donation. The Thitsa Adihtan Aung HsuTaungPyae Pagoda was built as replica of Bagan ShweSiGon () pagoda with 29 feet height and the meditators and pilgrims from far and near paid homage to the pagoda daily.

In the afternoon, the chief minister accompanied by the region ministers inspected the completion of newly constructed three-storey RC building of Mandalay Region High Court and two-storey building of Advocate General's Office. The chief minister was welcomed by the region high court chief justice Daw Khin Thin Wei and officials.

The chief minister and ministers looked the office of chief justice in each floor, Video Conferencing rooms, reception rooms,conference rooms, criminal cases judging room, civil cases judging room and the mess halls. Next, the chief minister and party inspected the construction of new advocate-general office.

The chief minister was welcomed by the region advocate-general U Myint Aung and officials.  Then, the chief minister gave necessary instructions and coordinated requirements.
