








The opening ceremony for the 2025–2026 academic year student enrollment campaign in Kayah State was held at the State Hall in Loikaw on May 26. The ceremony was opened with a song titled “Future Good Citizens,” performed by students from Basic Education High School No. (5).
Following the performance, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin delivered the opening speech. In his speech, he emphasized this year’s enrollment slogan: “Let’s enroll every school-age child for continuous learning.” He called on all parents and responsible individuals to work together to ensure all school-age children are enrolled and to prioritize their safety and security. He also highlighted the importance of further advancing the education sector in the state.
Next, the Chief Minister, the regional operations commander, and state minister distributed school uniforms, cash awards, basic provisions to teachers, education staff, administrative personnel, and the school uniforms, textbooks, blank notebooks, and pencils to the students from primary, middle, and high school levels. These items were received by the students and responsible officials.
After that, State Education Officer Daw Tin Tin Aye gave a briefing related to the student enrollment campaign for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Then, the Chief Minister greeted and encouraged school administrators, teachers, students, and parents in attendance. He also visited and supported a small exhibition commemorating the student enrollment campaign day.
