Opening Institute of Nursing (Pathein) : AYA Region CM attended and inaugurated the Institute

The opening ceremony of the Institute of Nursing (Pathein) was held Thursday morning in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region. Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw attended the ceremony, delivered the opening address, and officially inaugurated the institute by pressing the ceremonial button to unveil the Institute of Nursing (Pathein) signboard.

Professor and dental specialists from the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with healthcare staff from Pathein General Hospital, have been providing surgical treatment for 33 patients with congenital cleft lip and cleft palate and fitting dentures for 31 elderly people at Pathein General Hospital since July 13. On the morning of July 14, the Chief Minister, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the hospital to observe the medical services, encouraged the patients and healthcare personnel, and presented locally produced commemorative gifts to the professors and specialist doctors.

The final match and prize presentation ceremony of the 2026 Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister's Cup Inter-District U-19 Women's Football Tournament was held on the evening of July 13 at Koe Thein Sports Ground in Pathein. The Region Chief Minister attended the ceremony and presented the championship trophy to the winning team, it’s reported.
