




Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, together with Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, on May 12, attended the opening ceremony of the 13th Batch of the One-Year Industrial Skills Training Course, at Industrial Training School No. (5) in Magway Township.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Union Minister, Chief Minister, attendees, and trainees paid a salute to the National Flag.
Following this, the Union Minister delivered an opening speech, encouraging the trainees to apply the industrial knowledge they gain in both theoretical and practical ways when entering the workforce, to continuously pursue learning, and to contribute to the nation and the people through industrial development in their respective sectors. He also urged them to progress from a solid industrial foundation toward research, innovation, competitiveness, economic alignment, and upgrading of industrial production processes.
After that, the Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin delivered his remarks. Subsequently, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister warmly met and greeted the trainees.
The newly launched 13th batch of the one-year industrial skills training course will train a total of 172 students including 140 male trainees and 32 female trainees. The course will provide both theoretical and hands-on training in subjects such as motor vehicle maintenance and computer-aided design and manufacturing.
