Opening of CPA Part-1 training: Union Auditor General gave an opening address

The opening ceremony of Certified Public Accountant – CPA Part-1) training No (47) organized by Myanmar Accountancy Council for the 2023-2024 academic year was held at the Advanced Accounting and Auditing Training School of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on February 6 and Auditor General of the Union U Tin Oo gave an opening speech.

In his opening speech, the Auditor General of the Union said that the accounting and statistics courses are being opened with the aims to train and produce more accounting skilful personnel and competent ethical accountants who can contribute to the country’s economic development. Not only for the quantity but also the quality, such training course has been opening since the launching in 1972 with the modifications of curriculums and teaching methods and its’ reached batch no (47).

The Certified Public Accountant – CPA training is a 2 years Post-Graduate Professional training course and it’s a vocational training which those who passed the part-2 of the training and completed the terms of internship are designated as an accountant (First Grade). The trainees need the self-study, Self-Discipline and Self-Confidence apart from the lectures given by the lecturers.

Next, the In-Charge of the training school (Nay Pyi Taw) shared information about the training school and then the ceremony was concluded. The training course will be attended a total of 145 trainees including 63 in the Advanced Accounting and Auditing Training School (Nay Pyi Taw) and 82 in Training School in Myanmar Accountancy Office (Yangon ) for 11 months from 6th February, 2023 to 5th January, 2024 with fact to face teaching and learning, it’s reported.
