Opening ceremony: MoSWRR opened basic social work skills training

The opening ceremony of Basic Social Work Skills Development was held at assembly hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in the morning on Monday with the attendance of Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing.

In her opening speech at the ceremony, the Union Minister said the Basic Social Work Skills Development is opened with the aims at setting and implementing the work plans for better rehabilitation, capacity development of the personnel serving the duties at the relevant sector, better understanding the Basic Social Work Skills and to facilitate the human resource development of the rehabilitation department as well as to carry out the principles of the ministry effectively.

The trainees will be given the lessons on the Basic Social Work Skills, role of people who involve in the social works, the subject matters to be complied by those who involve in social works, necessary codes of conduct to be adhered, methods to be provided help in the community in group as well as social protection, gender equality and the work processes providing assistance to the persons with disabilities in the social ways for three days from 20th to 22nd February, it’s learnt.
