



Starting from 24th February, the passports can be applied through online booking and the passport issuing processes are being underway at the Passport Issuing Office of Myanmar (Yangon) for those who applied on online booking on Monday.
Than Zaw Tun, said "The people who have difficulties in applying passports via online, they can ask for help at the Police Offices in respective townships. After getting appointment date, the appliers must come to the Passport Issuing Office during a week and those who don’t do the process will fail automatically. "
People can register at the website for passports with self payment system via online at home everyday starting from 24th February.
Naw Seint Marlar Kyaw Kyaw, said "Online Passport Booking System is very convenience for me and I tried at home in the early morning of 24th February when I heard this news. It could take little minutes when login to the website but I want to say to be patient. After issuing online booking, original and copy of National Registration and Census Cards are needed to take to the Passport Issuing Office."
Oakkar Hein, said "In online booking process, people who applied via online for passports are divided into batches, so, it very convenience and I really like it. And next one is that we can complete forms at home. I think it will be faster than previous year in applying passports."
By establishing Online Passport Booking System, it can prevent from manipulation. The Passport Issuing Office (Yangon) is implementing passport issuing processes for 2,500 people per day, it’s reported.
