Oman-Iran Peace Negotiations

Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Badr Albusaidi received Dr. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament in the Islamic Republic of Iran and delegation in Muscat on Tuesday as part of his official visit to Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations of cooperation and good neighborliness between the two countries, as well as ways to develop mutual interests.

They also exchanged views on regional developments. Both sides underscored the imperative of seizing the current diplomatic moment to buttress peace endeavours, reinforce de-escalation and stability, so as to safeguard regional security and ensure the safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and international shipping lanes.
