NKorea releases stills of latest missile launch

North Korean state media released a report early Monday acknowledging the country's latest missile test, which was detected by its neighbours on Sunday.

The missile was a Hwasong 12-type ground-to-ground intermediate and long range ballistic missile, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. An image showed the missile being launched from a mobile launcher.

There were also two images of the Earth which KCNA referred to as "taken from space by a camera installed at the missile warhead." The accuracy of the image content could not be immediately verified. It was North Korea's seventh missile test in January 2022.
