New Staff Housing: Staff housing in National Races Village opened

The new staff housing of the Department of Ethnic Literature and Culture under the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs was opened in National Races Village in Yangon on Sunday. Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint attended the ceremony and formally opened the new staff housing together with officials.

The Union Minister and the guests viewed around the new facility. They then paid homage to Thetka Nyi pagoda in the compound of national races village and also attended a prayer service of Hindus religions.

They then inspected upgrading of entrance gate of Yadanar road and the site chosen for the construction of car parking, ethnic cultural houses and booths and the site to build a jetty for the easy access to national races villages through the river route.

The Union Minister then met with the region chief Minister, the region command commander and officials at the meeting hall of national races village (Yangon) and discussed with them for service promoting programs, security affairs and activities to be implemented for visiting more people.

In the afternoon of that day, the Union Minister and party enjoyed boat race marking service promotion there. The Union Minister, the region chief Minister and officials presented trophies and cash awards to the winners.
