New academic year started: Mon State CM visited schools and encouraged students

In Mon State, a total of 352,322 students have been enrolled for the 2025–2026 academic year across basic education schools, private schools, and monastic education schools. Starting in the morning on June 2nd, students have begun attending classes peacefully.

To observe the start of the school year, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, along with State Ministers and relevant officials, visited Basic Education Middle School No. (7) and Basic Education High School No. (1) in Mawlamyine and observed and encouraged the students attending their classes with calmness and joy.

Following the visits, the Chief Minister inspected the school facilities and met with responsible officials to discuss and coordinate the fulfillment of necessary requirements.

Similarly, the Chief Minister also visited Basic Education High School No. (9) and Basic Education High School No. (6) in Mawlamyine to observe and support the attendance and learning of students for the 2025–2026 academic year.
