NATO chief praises Türkiye’s leadership ahead of Ankara summit

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte highlighted Türkiye’s key role in the alliance during a visit to Ankara ahead of the summit. Speaking at a press conference at the Presidential Complex, Rutte thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for hosting the gathering and said he was impressed by Türkiye’s preparations.

Rutte underlined that Türkiye has one of the largest and best-trained armies in NATO and has significantly strengthened its defense capabilities in recent years. He also pointed to the rapid growth of Türkiye’s defense industry, noting that thousands of companies are actively producing equipment needed by allied forces.
