N. Korea releases photos of 'tactical weapon' test

North Korea has tested a "new-type tactical guided weapon," its state news agency KCNA reported on Sunday. The report did not mention the date and location of the test, but said that leader Kim Jong Un was there to observe the test firing.

The new weapon system is of great significance in drastically improving the firepower of the frontline long-range artillery units and enhancing the efficiency in the operation of tactical nukes of the DPRK and diversification of their firepower missions, the Korean Central News Agency report said.
