








Aiming to promote safe and environmentally friendly products and packaging systems and to facilitate access to international markets, Myanmar Packaging Forum 2026 was held at Mingalar Hall of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) in Yangon on Saturday.
Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than delivered remarks via video conferencing. Then, Yangon Region Minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transportation Dr. Myo Thaw gave an opening speech.
Following this, UMFCCI Chairman and Chairman of Myanmar Industrial Association delivered speeches respectively.
During the forum, officials from relevant departments and organizations delivered presentations on the role of packaging in the manufacturing sector, labelling requirements, challenges facing Myanmar’s packaging industry, and modern packaging solutions for MSMEs.
They also highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening the packaging ecosystem, promoting eco-friendly materials, reducing plastic use, and improving waste management and recycling practices.
