Congratulatory Message : Myanmar’s Paw San rice wins the World’s Best Rice Award

President U Min Aung Hlaing extended his heartfelt congratulations following Myanmar’s Paw San rice winning the World’s Best Rice Award for the second time at the International World Rice Conference 2026 in Manila, the Philippines.

The President described the achievement as a source of national pride, recognizing the distinctive quality, aroma and taste of Myanmar’s rice, as well as the collective efforts of farmers and stakeholders throughout the rice production chain.

He expressed confidence that further improving rice quality, expanding access to international markets and developing high value-added rice products would boost farmers’ socioeconomic well-being and contribute to national development.

He also congratulated farmers, rice producers, mill owners, traders, exporters and relevant organizations, urging continued efforts to preserve Paw San rice’s international reputation, expand agricultural exports and strengthen the national economy.
