Myanmar Avocado Export: About 100 tonnes of Hass avocado exported to Malaysia

The Shan Avocado company which is a joint venture of Myanmar Avocado Producer and Exporter Association, and Myanmar Avocado growers has been exported 100 tons of Hass avocado to Malaysia market through the air trade in this year, according to an official of Myanmar Avocado Producer and Exporter Association (MAPEA).

Myo Nyunt, Vice-President, MAPEA, said " The International Trade Center, Myanmar Export Promotion Department and MAPEA led by the Avocado company of Southern Shan state went exhibit at the Asia Fruit Logistics Expo 2022 which was held in Bangkok, Thailand. At exhibition, we connected with more than 100 companies from 16 countries. Myanmar still has a small numbers of avocado farms that received the global GPA certificate. And Myanmar exported Avocado to Malaysia first time and we still send it for testing at about 100 tons."

Myanmar has been exported Hass avocado and received at price of 3.7 USD per 1 kg in Malaysia market. Also there will be exported avocado in future as well, it’s learnt.
