MWVO Special Conference: SAC Chairman addresses the conference in Nay Pyi Taw

On 30th April, Myanmar War Veterans Organization Special Conference 2025 took place at the headquarters of Myanmar War Veterans Organization (MWVO) in Dekkinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area with the attendance of patron of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. In his speech, the Senior General said that the MWVO which is serving as a reserve force of Tatmadaw was formed in line with the existing laws and procedures.

As the organization is formed with those who served as disciplined Tatmadaw members, it’s a reliable organization for the nation and its people. The Senior General expressed his appreciations for the effort of the members in national defence and security measures. As Tatmadaw emerged to safeguard the lives and properties of people, the harmonious correlation between Tatmadaw and people is necessary.

The Myanmar War Veterans Organization must serve as a bridge between Tatmadaw and people in order to make the public to become aware of the sincerity and pure intention of Tatmadaw towards the State and people. It’s also important to establish strong and unwavering relationship between Tatmadaw and people to implement People’s Militia Strategy successfully.

At present, the government is accelerating preparation measures to hold free and fair multiparty democratic general election in coming December. In recent years, Myanmar has encountered various obstacles such as COVID-19 pandemic, armed conflicts and severe natural disasters which left substantial loss and damage hindering the nation’s development process.

The only way to overcome obstacles is the unity and cohesion between people and government. Moreover, the government set aims to ensure prosperity and food sufficiency as nation’s objectives. In order to develop the socio-economic life of people, it’s necessary to build disciplined, peaceful and stable environment ensuring happy and prosperous life of the people.

Therefore, it’s necessary for members of MWVO to participate in nation building process based on the spirits of soldiers who once served in armed forces, serving as a bridge between Tatmadaw and people, upholding three main national causes and 5-point Road Map of the nation.
