Movie star feline from 'A Street Cat Named Bob', dies aged 14

The stray cat named bob has died at the age of 14, Variety reports. Bob, the cat, inspired a book and starred in a film about his unlikely partnership with a London busker. the cat became well known in London while he would sit on busker James Bowen's shoulder or at his feet while he performed.

Both of them caught the attention of increasing numbers of passersby and led to a life turnaround and bestselling book for the busker. Bowen started the launch of his first book 'A Street Cat Named Bob' in 2012 and he was overwhelmed by the support. It was the first of a series of books which went on to sell millions of copies around the world. In 2016 a film based on the first book was released.
