Mountaineering Experience: A Visit To The Central Point Of Myanmar

Situated in the Southeast of Kume in MyitTha Township of Mandalay Region, the West Mt. PyetKhaYway  becomes one of the destinations for the visitors across Myanmar.

It took about 4 hours to reach atop the mountain where the visitors can pay homage to the  Buddhist Tooth Relic Pagoda. It was the fifth Tooth Relic Pagoda built by King Anawrahta together with ShweSiKhon Pagoda, TantKyiTaung Pagoda, Lawka Nanda Pagoda, and TuYinTaung Pagoda in Bagan area.

With its greenish environs and natural stream, the visitors find it a pleasant mountaineering trip.

Visitor, WunTwin Township, Aung Myint Oo said “Being a day off from work, we came here to enjoy mountain climbing experience. We also like to travel with our friends. Some places here are a little steep but there are also plain areas. It's very enjoyable.”

The top of West Mt. PyetKhaYway is the exactly Central Point of Myanmar, and it is situated 3734 ft above the sea level.
