






The Ministry of Border Affairs held its first Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony for 2025, taking place around the temporary staff housing area within the ministry's compound in the morning on June 18.
At the ceremony, member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen. Yar Pyae, delivered a speech and began the planting a Gant Gaw sapling. Following this, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen. Phyo Thant, Permanent Secretary, departmental officials, officers, and staff collectively planted saplings of treasure standard trees, perennial trees, and shade-providing windbreak trees as a national movement.
They also toured the planting area, offering encouragement. Simultaneously, universities, colleges, offices, and schools under the Ministry of Border Affairs also held their first Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremonies for 2025.
They collectively planted saplings of treasure standard trees, perennial trees, shade-providing windbreak trees, and fruit trees. It’s reported that a total of 8,621 saplings were planted, and efforts will continue to maintain and nurture them for successful growth.
