







The monsoon tree-planting ceremony as the pre-activities for the 2026 Myanmar Women's Day was held Monday morning in the Hlawga watershed area, Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region. The event was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, who delivered an opening speech.
Afterwards, Patron of the Yangon Region Women's Affairs Organization, Daw Hnin Hnin Aye, along with responsible officials, presented saplings to the members of the Women's Affairs Organization.
Following that, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, together with his wife and responsible officials, jointly planted trees.
Subsequently, Chief Minister and officials toured and encouraged the ongoing tree-planting activities being carried out by departmental staff and responsible officials from various regional departments, involving a total of 16,200 saplings comprising 4,000 ‘Teakwood’ trees, 4,000 ‘Pyinkado’, 8,000 ‘Mahogany, 100 mango trees, and 100 jackfruit trees.
Continuing on, the opening ceremony of a Training of Trainers (ToT) course for disseminating legal awareness among ward and village tract administrators was held this morning at the Sapal Hall of Basic Education High School No. 2 in Sanchaung Township. The course was organized by the Yangon Region Advocate General's Office under the guidance of the Ministry of Legal Affairs. The event was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, who delivered an opening speech.
After that, member of the Yangon Region Government and Region Advocate General, Daw Phyu Mar Wai, gave an explanation regarding the opening of the training course.
Following this, Chief Minister and officials cordially greeted those in attendance.
The training course will be conducted by instructors for 51 ward and village tract administrators from June 22 to June 26, 2026.
