MOI’s Announcement: Suspension of showing films to public in the cinemas as of 16th March

The Ministry of Information announced suspension of showing films to the public in the cinemas as of 16th March, 2020.

It stated that the World Health Organization has declared Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic that can spread all over the world on 11th March, 2020. As the spread of the disease can occur rapidly through mass gatherings, the Ministry announced to suspend showing films at the movie theaters and cinemas in Regions and States as paying attention to the public health.
