








Kayah State Chief Minister U Aunt Maw attended a meeting with students from the Training School for Development of Nationalities Youths from Border Areas (Loikaw), held at the school hall in Daw Noe Kuu Ward, Loikaw Township, and delivered an opening speech.
First, the school principal explained the organization of staff for reopening the school, preparations of school buildings, student enrollment, attendance, and administrative matters.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister said that the government has established such training schools in border areas to help young people from underdeveloped regions gain access to advanced basic education and to promote human resource development. He encouraged the students to study diligently for the development of their regions and the improvement of living standards.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and officials distributed free school uniforms and school supplies provided by the government and warmly greeted the students.
They then inspected the students’ dormitories, dining halls, and renovation works within the school compound. They also inspected the storage of rice, oil, beans, and salt in the supply warehouses and visited the library. In addition, they observed the successful operation of the layer chicken farm and vegetable gardens established for staff welfare. The Chief Minister instructed responsible officials to ensure that students live in a disciplined manner, maintain the school’s good image, and carry out systematic management and Administration, it’s reported.
