Meeting With Staff : MOFA Union Minister meets with staff

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe held a meeting with the ministry staff on the lawn in front of the Ministry on Friday.

In his speech, the Union Minister stressed the need for preparedness in the face of natural disasters, acknowledged the grief caused by the recent Mandalay earthquake and encouraged continued resilience among staff. He highlighted that the recent earthquake in Myanmar has severely impacted many areas, including the Union Territory. 

In response, the government is providing relief and assistance, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively supporting affected staff with food and accommodation. As it has been nearly a month since the disaster, the Union Minister urged staff to focus on resuming office duties and public services. 

This was followed by the sector-wise reports from various departmental staff. In response, the Union Minister explained the conditions to be fulfilled and encouraged the staff to strive to return to normalcy in their daily lives, with physical and mental well being.
