







Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the demonstration plots of tissue-cultured bananas and long-staple cotton at Pan Taw Pyin Village in Minhla Township Saturday afternoon, and met with local cotton farmers.
First, the Chief Minister and officials arrived at the tissue-cultured banana plantation in Pan Taw Pyin Village, Minhla Township, where they applied compound fertilizer to the banana plants and watered them, and then toured the plantation to offer encouragement. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the 2-acre high-yield demonstration plot of long-staple cotton cultivated at Plot No. 859 in Pan Taw Pyin Village Tract.
Following this, Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko and officials met with cotton farmers and urged them to work towards ensuring an adequate supply of cotton seeds by undertaking seed production activities, to increase yields, and to produce high-quality cotton.
Afterwards, the Chief Minister provided supplementary instructions following the presentation by the Region Agriculture Director, and then distributed compound fertilizers to long-staple cotton farmers. In response, local farmers raised discussions and submissions regarding their village development activities and the need for further agricultural support.
The Chief Minister coordinated with relevant departments to address and fulfill the necessary requirements. Following that, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to the Kyauk Kone CommunityHall in Htone Ma Gyi Village, Man Gyoe Village Tract, Minbu (Saku) Township.
There, they distributed food supplies totaling 6.536 million kyats in value including rice, cooking oil, eggs, dried noodles, and other provisions to 67 flood-affected households, comprising a total of 199 people from Htone Ma Gyi Village. The Chief Minister also delivered words of encouragement, stating that continued assistance would be provided to the flood-affected residents as needed.
