Meeting with Families: Vice Senior General meets with Tatmadawmen

Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win met with the military officers, Tatmadawmen, family members and instructors at Bahtoo Station on Wednesday.

In his speech, the Vice Senior General stressed the significant of the Bahtoo Town which is the base for military training schools and training supporting companies. He urged all to provide effective training on military knowledge and skills, ensuring the regional security.

He stressed the successful holding of the multi-party democracy general election, with 54.22% voter turnouts, and hluttaw sessions are scheduled for March, with Presidential Election in early April, in order to hand over the state duty to the new government.

He urged all to make constant training for capable Tatmadaw, serving the security and defence duty of the nation, while providing for welfare of the family members and education promotion of the children. During the meeting, foodstuff and cash assistance were provided for the military officer, Tatmadawmen and families as well as for the maternal and child welfare association. In the afternoon, the Vice Senior General and party visited Integrated Farm (Bahtoo San), and inspected the poultry, cattle and piggery farms and cultivation of seasonal crops.
