Meeting on ethnic affairs: MoEA UM met with ethnic literature & culture associations

The Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung together with Mandalay Region Minister for Ethnic Affairs and officials met with the ethnic literature and culture association in Mandalay Region at the Region Government office meeting hall in the afternoon on 24th of May.

In his remark at the meeting, the Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung said that to facilitate the social objectives such as to implement the multi-education system inclusive of all so as to enhance education and the intellectual level of the entire people and turn out a large number of skilled technicians contributing to the manufacturing sector in order to turn out educated persons, the ethnic literature teaching in the regions and states is being coordinated with the Ministry of education.

Next, the Mandalay Region Government Minister for Ethnic Affairs clarified the status of implementing ethnic affairs and regional development activities.

Then, the attendee Ethnic literature and culture associations reported the matters on the ethnic affairs and regional development activities and the Director General of the Department of Ethnic Literature and Culture supplemented requirements.

After coordinating requirements on the clarifications and giving a speech of conclusion, the Union Minister provided 500,000 Kyats of cash assistance for each ethnic literature and culture associations for the promotion and preservation of the ethnic literature and culture, it’s reported.
