Rehabilitation: Collective tasks underway in Loikaw of Kayah State

The PNLO and PDF Terrorist Group attacked security forces in Mobye, Pekon, Loikaw and Demoso townships on the 26th of January, killed locals and burnt houses and governmental buildings.

Also, blocking the Hopong-BanYin-HsiHseng-Loikaw Road, the groups carried out terrorist acts. On the 29th of January, the security forces conducted a Counter-Terrorism Operation and have gained control of the 42 miles on the HsiHseng-Loikaw Road on the 29th of May after exchanging fire for 87 times.

Also, the security forces have gained control of the industrial zone and NaNatTaw Ward on the 14th of June. Currently, stability has returned to Loikaw Township, and the security forces, members of the Police Force and Fire Services and locals have been carrying out rehabilitation tasks. Kayah State Chief Minister and officials oversaw the rehabilitation tasks and encouraged those participating in the tasks.
