










The 2025 Matriculation Examination is being held across 12 townships in Kachin State, with a total of 22 examination centers opened. The exams began on June 16. On June 18, the third day of the examination, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, along with responsible officials, visited No.8 Basic Education High School exam center in Myitkyina to observe and encourage students taking the exams peacefully.
During the visit, the Chief Minister and officials encouraged students at the No. 8 Basic Education High School exam center in Myitkyina. They also warmly greeted and supported students as they exited the exam halls after completing their tests, offering snacks and bottled drinks, and speaking with the students’ parents to show their support.
In the morning on June 18, the Chief Minister and officials attended the 2025 Monsoon Tree Planting ceremony organized by the Kachin State Department of Rural Road Development taken place along the perimeter roads within the Sports and Physical Education Institute and other departmental land plots in Maw Phaung Village Tract, Myitkyina.
Additionally, in the evening on June 17, the Chief Minister, accompanied by state ministers and departmental officials, attended and encouraged the state track and field team undergoing training and preparation at the state football stadium for the 2025 Region and State Track and Field Competition. A record-setting practice competition was held with the coaches present.
Following the competition, the Chief Minister and State Ministers awarded 1.075 million kyats in cash prizes for first, second, and third places to the athletes who achieved record-breaking performances in their respective sports. The Chief Minister also provided 2.5 million kyats for nutrition expenses for the track and field team and presented cash assistance to the coaches.
