Martial Law: Orders on townships of regions and states

With the State Administration Council’s Martial Law order numbers 1 to 6/2023 dated 2 February 2023, the SAC has transferred the executive and judiciary power to the northwest command commander, central command commander, southern command commander, southeast command commander, coastal region command commander and commander of sub-regional command (Loikaw) to exercise the Martial Law in accordance with Article 419 of the State Constitution to enforce security, the rule of law and peace in 11 townships in Sagaing Region, 7 townships in Chin State, 5 townships in Magway Region, 5 townships in Bago Region, 1 township in Mon State, 2 townships in Kayin State, 2 townships in Tanintharyi Region and 4 townships in Kayah State.

The SAC’s Martial Law Order 7/2023 states that these commanders shall accomplish the administration matters including security issues, social issues, trade issues and transportation issues and the judiciary matters.
