Market Fire: Fire Engulfs Than Zay Market In Yangon

A fire broke out at Than Zay Market in Lanmadaw Street, Latha Township, Yangon on Thursday morning. According to the Myanmar Fire Services Department, the fire started at about 6:05 am as a level-1 and it was intensified as level-5 at about 7:45 am.

The massive fire could be controlled at 8:30 am and it could be put out at 9:10 am. According to the information of the Department up to 9:27 am, a total of 84 people have been rescued in the incident and rescue measures are being undertaken.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
