Mandalay Investment Forum-2026: Efforts to accelerate investment, trade and tourism industry

Jointly organized by the Ministry of National Planning, Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Mandalay Region Government,  Mandalay Investment Forum-2026  was held at Yadanabon Hall in Mandalay on Friday.

Union Minister U Aung Kyaw Hoe and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung delivered speeches respectively.

In his speech, the Union Minister encouraged to accelerate investment, trade and tourism industry in the region as a logistic hub which connects China-Myanmar Economic Corridor and India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway. He also encouraged the agriculture and livestock based value-added production, logistics and long-term investment.

The Chief Minister also elaborated on current job creations and potential investments, import substitute and export accleration measures. The forum included discussions and Q & A sessions on Myanmar’s current investment condition, potential investments within the region and the emergence of sustainable investment zone. About 50 MSMEs and investment exhibitions were also displayed during the forum.
