Mall Fire in Mandalay: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Mandalay Yatanar Mall

A fire broke out at Mandalay Yatanar Mall in Chanayethazan Township of Mandalay Region on Friday evening.

The massive fire at the Mall started at 6:08 p.m. on Friday – fire services personnel with nearly 200 fire engines tried to put out the fire for hours.

The fire was contained at 2:02 a.m. on Saturday and extinguished at 5:03 a.m.

5 five services personnel suffered minor injuries. Cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
