Major Drug Bust: Over 800 kg of ICE seized in Lewe and Dala

Myanmar Police Force seized more than 800 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ICE) worth over 20 billion kyats in coordinated operations in Lewe and Dala townships.

Authorities initially confiscated 500 kg of ICE from a truck in Lewe Township on July 6. Follow-up investigations led to the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of an additional 310 kg of ICE from a boat in Dala Township that was allegedly preparing to transport the drugs by sea. Investigations are ongoing to arrest remaining suspects and confiscate assets linked to the drug trafficking network.
