Macron says France to hold conference to support Lebanese army

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday that his country will organize an international conference to support the Lebanese Armed Forces. The event is scheduled to take place in the upcoming weeks, amid mounting pressure on Beirut. An international conference in Paris in support of Lebanon's army was planned for March but was delayed after Hezbollah drew Lebanon into the Middle East war.
