Macron, Qatar emir attend sovereign wealth fund summit in Doha

French President Emmanuel Macron and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the plenary session of the 9th Annual One Planet Sovereign Wealth Funds Summit in Lusail of Qatar. The Wednesday summit took place during Macron's official two-day state visit to Doha, which marked the final stop of his broader Gulf tour.

The discussions built upon existing agreements, including Qatar's prior pledge of 10 billion euros toward French sectors such as the energy transition, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and healthcare.
