A dozen police officers stopped vehicles in London's East End on Friday. It came while Britain tightened restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Random private vehicles were asked to pull over while public buses were allowed to drive past. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who tested positive for the virus on Friday, had ordered tough restrictions on people's movement to slow the spread of the coronavirus, saying people should stay at home unless they are buying food, travelling to work, needing medical care or exercising. Britain has recorded more than 14,500 coronavirus cases and the death toll had risen to 759 as of Thursday afternoon.
