LMC Youth Exchange Program: National Landmark Sculpturing and Painting Youth Camp

Opening Ceremony of National Landmark Sculpturing and Painting Youth Camp for LMC Fine Arts Students was held in Mandalay on Sunday. The program is part of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Project.

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko made a speech, saying that the program has been organized for 2 days from January 29th to 30th since some of the fine arts works have been facing the challenges of extinction along with the development of technology.

The National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) hosted this program in Mandalay with the participation of young sculptors and artists from 6 Mekong region countries. He added that the program could help promote friendship and cooperation among the young artists, which could benefit for strengthening the friendly relations among the Mekong region countries.

5 participants including 4 artists and a leader from 6 Mekong region counties were invited to participate in the program, and they will make creation of national landmark artworks and discussions on their creations.
