Livestock and Fisheries Export: MOALI Deputy Minister inspects facilities in Yangon

On June 13, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi visited the Central Research and Development Center for Livestock in Insein Township, Yangon, inspecting operations and student dormitories. He encouraged students from the Diploma in Veterinary Science Training Course (Batch 2) to become skilled professionals in the fields of veterinary and livestock development.

In the afternoon, he toured the Shwe Ngar Processing and Cold Storage Plant in Hlaingthaya, which houses a 500-ton cold storage facility exporting fish to the UK, Italy, Belgium, UAE, and Singapore. He also visited Glory One Company Limited, which processes seafood products under Good Manufacturing Practices and the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points standards for export to the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Later, at Min Zar Ni Fisheries Co., Ltd., he reviewed exports of frozen fish products to Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and China. The Deputy Minister emphasized the need to align with international market standards to boost exports and improve market access.
