Literature Development: Visiting the Sarso Beikman and Sarpay Beikman

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin inspected the Sarso Biekman building in Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, Yangon on Thursday morning.

During the inspection, the Director General of Printing and Publishing Department reported on the building history and book exhibitions.

The Union Minister later toured around the exhibitions which display the biographies of award-winning literati, documentary photos of national literary awarding ceremony, literary development activities, dramatic, music, and film related literature.

Following this, the Union Minister visited the Sarpay Biekman bookshop and library in Kyauktada Township and encouraged book selling and literary award selection committee members’ activities. The Union Minister emphasized to distribute books that were beneficial to young people.
