Kishida incident suspect moved to prosecutor office

Ryuji Kimura, the suspect who allegedly threw an explosive device in the direction of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at a campaign event on Saturday, was moved to the Wakayama District Public Prosecutor's Office. Police have seized unidentified powder, metal tube and tools from the home of the suspect.

They are investigating if the alleged attacker used a home-made tube bomb. Witnesses say they saw an object that looked like an extra-thin metal thermos flying overhead and landed near the prime minister.Kishida was safely evacuated before the device exploded, triggering white smoke and sending the screaming crowd to flee in panic.
