Kate Middleton leads the royals in attendance for Order of Garter

Kate Middleton was a vision in blue at the ceremonial Order of the Garter at St. George's Chapel on June 13. The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles in her blue coat dress by Alexander McQueen. Many of the most senior members of the royal family walked in a procession to the chapel for a service. The Order of the Garter tradition began during the 1300s by King Edward III. Following Monday's ceremony, the royal family was seen departing by carriages for its return journey to Windsor Castle. Notably missing from the procession was the Queen's son, Prince Andrew, who is a Knight of the Garter though stepped down from his royal duties in 2019.
