Japanese scientists using the James Webb Space Telescope recently observed LAP1-B, a star-forming galaxy from 13 billion years ago.

It is the most chemically primitive galaxy discovered, containing less oxygen than any previously recorded galaxy. According to the scientists, AI algorithms and cosmic magnifying glasses were crucial in capturing its faint light. They believed that the research helps explain how the elements that led to the emergence of humans were formed and accumulated in space.
