Japan PM meets Cambodian PM's successor

Japan's Prime Minister met with the Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army Hun Manet, the son and appointed successor of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, in Tokyo on Wednesday.

Hun Manet visited Fumio Kishida at the Prime Minister office. The Japanese leader expressed that he would like to deepen the cooperation between the two countries.  Earlier this week, Hun Manet also met with Japan's foreign minister, Yoshimasa Hayashi. During their meeting, Hayashi also said that Japan hopes to cooperate with Cambodia in achieving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
